Caitlyn Prestidge is a movement educator, professional dancer, choreographer, and actress whose career spans the stage, the classroom, and both sides of the camera on set. Whether performing, teaching, choreographing, producing, or directing movement, she brings a unique blend of artistry, athleticism, and curiosity to every project she undertakes. At the heart of her work is a deep love of storytelling and the exploration of authentic self-expression through movement - using the body not only as an instrument of technique, but as a powerful vehicle for connection, emotion, and truth.
Her live performance and film credits span networks and companies like Apple TV, Prime, CBC, Comcast, Sportsnet, Upper Canada Films, Pique Global, Hallowed Grounds, Princess Cruise Lines, Bell Canada, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment, Ted Rogers Pride Alliance, Fashion Cares, Sole Power Productions and Toronto Metropolitan University. Within these experiences she has contributed as a dancer, choreographer, movement director, producer, and actress - bringing a multifaceted perspective to her work.
A proud “forever student,” Caitlyn is deeply curious about the body and how strength, energy, and alignment impact a dancer’s technical growth and sustainability. She holds certifications in International Ballet Barre Fitness Association, Progressive Ballet Technique, ADAPT, and Alixa Flexibility. Her continued education reflects her commitment to evolving both as an artist and educator, and to bringing informed, progressive, and safe practices into the spaces she leads.
Caitlyn is the founder and artistic director of The Dance Progressive, a program rooted in her mission to keep dancers dancing beyond their competitive years. At the heart of her work is a deep desire to create safe, inclusive, judgement-free spaces where dancers of all backgrounds can keep moving, evolving, and telling their stories through movement.
