Make An Impact: Challenge Yourself

Jessica Saftu (she/her) is a BFA honours graduate from York University’s Choreography  and Performance Dance program. Growing up as a competitive dancer; she trained  heavily in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre.  Since graduating, Jessica has traveled the world performing, teaching, training,  choreographing, and collaborating with various professional dance artists. Jessica  attended various training programs with companies such as, ProArteDanza, Modus  Operandi, COMMON Conservatory, and b12. She has trained and worked under many  established dance artists including; David Norsworthy, Hanna Kiel, Johnathan Morin,  Katlin Bourgeois, Kylie Thompson, Robert Glumbeck, Shavar Blackwood, Syreeta  Hector, and Terence Marling. Jessica has performed for companies and platforms  including COMMON conservatory, Candle Light Concerts, PROSPECTS curated by  Aeris Kröper, and Rhythm & Sound. With an extensive amount of training and  knowledge, Jessica has always been interested in sharing her perspectives of dance  with aspiring dance artists. Jessica is excited to continue diversifying her dance  background across numerous platforms and inspire younger generations of artists.
